Enrolment Applications for 2026
Enrolments for 2026 will open around the end of June (date to be confirmed). Howick College welcomes:
-
all in-zone applications for Years 9 to 13.
-
out-of-zone applications for Year 9, which will go into a ballot for limited spaces.
There may be limited spaces available in 2026 for Year 10 -13 out-of-zone enrolments, but this will be confirmed.
If you are enrolling for the current year, please fill out the Online Application Form below. Once your application has been checked and verified, you will be sent a link to complete the Health and Subject Selection Form
In-Zone Enrolment Applications for 2025
If you are enrolling for the current year, please fill out the above Online Application Form and select the current month and 2025. Once your application has been checked and verified, we will be in touch to arrange an interview time.
Confirmation of Enrolment
If you are in zone, your child's enrolment will be confirmed as soon as the enrolment process is completed and verified.
Enrolment Documentation
Before you begin your online application, please ensure you have all documents ready to upload. Your application cannot be completed without all necessary documents.
ALL applicants must provide the following documentation:

a photo/scan/digital file of either (1) the child's birth certificate; or (2) their passport (if born in New Zealand)
-
a photo/scan/digital file of both the child's passport and their parents'/legal guardians' passports (if born outside of New Zealand)
-
a photo/scan/digital file of any visa that enables the applicant to study at Howick College as a domestic student. This must be up-to-date at the time of application
-
a photo/scan/digital file of any documentation that outlines custodial arrangements with court orders or intervention by Oranga Tamariki
*The applicant’s primary caregiver must be their natural parent or legal guardian.
PROOF OF ADDRESS - IN-ZONE APPLICANTS ONLY
Proof of residential address is required for ALL in-zone applications. A map and description of our zone can be found on our website or the TKI School Zone website.
If you live in zone and rent your home you must provide:

a photo/scan/digital file of your fixed term rental agreement of a council approved rateable dwelling that is valid during the period of the first day the student commences school,
-
AND a photo/scan/digital file of your current electricity account; OR a verification from an electrical supplier,
-
AND a photo/scan/digital file of the Tenancy Services bond lodgement receipt from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment's Tenancy Services. (Please click here to view an example of the bond lodgement receipt required.)
If you live in zone and you own your home you must provide:

a photo/scan/digital file of your current land rates invoice: OR a sale and purchase agreement,
-
AND a photo/scan/digital file of your current electricity account; OR a verification from an electrical supplier.
Year 9 2026 Out-of-Zone Enrolment Applications
Year 9 2026 out-of-zone enrolment applications will open around the end of June, 2025
The Year 9 2025 out-of-zone ballot will close on Wednesday 27, August 2025.
The Year 9 2025 out-of-zone ballot will be drawn on Wednesday 3, September 2025.
All out-of-zone families will have by now received an email notification regarding their success in the ballot or their place on the waitlist.
Agreements
Parents/caregivers and students are required to read the following agreements and acknowledge that they understand and agree to the conditions stated within these agreements when enrolling at Howick College.
