Year 9 Camps
Each year, Howick College runs a very successful and popular Year 9 Camp Programme at our Outdoor Education facility at Waharau Regional Park. These camps not only provide an important opportunity for students to acquire valuable skills and learning outside the classroom, they are also an extremely enjoyable and memorable experience.
There are six camps each lasting three days and two nights, students spend one night sleeping in cabins and the other night in tents. Activities may include kayaking, sailing, mountain biking, archery, low and high rope activities, orienteering, frisbee golf, campfire and a range of other outdoor pursuits.
